12erHornTrail FKT

Our July Long Run is another of the three Salzburg routes in the FKT Austria 2022 series. Although it is just as long as last month's Gaisberg FKT (16km), the Zwölferhorntrail is half a difficulty level higher with its 1195 meters in altitude. However, the increase in incline is rewarded with magnificent views of the surrounding Salzkammergut lake district.

As with all of our runs, we will not be setting any records on this run. But whoever completes the route and uploads it to the FKT Austria website can take part in the series raffle and win several fun prizes. Read more about the FKT Austria Series and the route here.

We expect the run to last around 5-6 hours so please bring enough water and food for this distance. Runners should bring clothing appropriate to the weather and wear trail running shoes with a tread designed for off-road conditions.

This run is open to members of the Trail Community Salzburg. Non-members are also welcome to either register for membership or make a donation of 5 EUR.
