2023 New Year's Challenge

What is a long day for you? Join friends and start the new year with a big run that you can really be proud of. Together we will see what distances we can achieve running up and down through the beautiful Salzach Valley between Salzburg and Golling. The beauty of our route is that everyone can choose their own distance and destination: 10km, 15km, half marathon, marathon or even 50km.

This year our run can also contribute to a good cause! Before you take part in our run, you can register separately for the SportUNION Virtual New Year's run. Sign up and your run will donate for Wings for Life and their work to heal paralysis.

As with our other runs, the group experience is our main goal, so we will run at a pace that keeps everyone together and allows us to run as long as possible. The run goes back and forth along the same route and has multiple access points to the S-Bahn, allowing runners to either run back or resort to a ride home at almost any time.

All runners should bring weather-appropriate clothing (especially against cold and rain), mobile phone, FFP2 mask (for local transport), cash and enough food and water for the planned distance.
