Gaisberg FKT Run

To kick off the summer, we invite you to join us on one of Salzburg’s most iconic routes, the Gaisbergumrundung. This 16km route includes a healthy 950m of elevation, as it makes its way around the summit of one of Salzburg’s most beloved peaks. The route is also part of the 2022 Austrian Fastest Known Time Series, and while we won’t be setting any records on today’s run, by completing the course, you’ll be entered in the Series’ tombola and be eligible for multiple fun prizes. We expect the run to last approximately 3-3.5 hours, so please bring sufficient water and food for this distance. Runners should bring clothing appropriate for the weather and wear trail running shoes with tread designed for off-road conditions.

After the run, everyone is invited to join in a viewing party starting at 13:30 to mark the start of the legendary 100-mile Western States Endurance Run. Drinks and snacks will be served, and a live web broadcast will let us all experience together the start of one of the most iconic races in trail running.
