Long Run: Gaisberg Trail

Our October run is a Salzburg classic! If you're preparing for the Salzburg Trailrunning Festival at the end of the month, you'll want tobe sure to join us on this scouting run of the Festival's main event.

The route starts by climbing up and over the Kapuzinerberg before heading across Parsch and up the Kühberg. The route then crosses the Gaisberg back and forth making its way up to the well-known Rundweg and then up the final climb of 20 switchbacks to the summit.

From there, we drop down beautiful single-track trails nearly to the Zistelalm before heading back into the woods and down Gamsweg. We descend all the way to the camping ground in Aigen before crossing the river and heading out to the Hellbrunner Allee. Now we're on the home stretch, but there is one more small climb up to the Stiftskirche Nonnberg before the final…
