Recap: Speed Hike 09.07.2022

# Speed Hikers: 5

• Start: Parkplatz Untersberg Glanegg

• Route: Reitsteig up to the Salzburger Hochthron, down on the other side, passing the Schellenberger ice caves. Short break to eat and drink at the Toni Lenz hut.

• Distance: < 13.5 km

• Vertical: < 1650 m

• Duration (incl. breaks): 5 h 13 min

• Duration (excl. breaks): 3 h 50 min

• Weather: When we left the parking at 09:00 am it was cloudy and warm. The higher we got up the cooler it became (of course ;) ). When we passed the Hochthron, the sun finally came out and made the downhill and the break at Toni Lenz really pleasant.

All of us came by bike, except one person was running to the meeting point. There's no better way than that to travel. We didn't even need the public transport system, which would have been the second best option.
